Our Technology Department works towards the development of applications which improve existing Threat Intelligence processes. As a key part of the department, the Infrastructure team is focused on building a secure, resilient, lean, and scalable infrastructure in a technologically complex, dynamic, and demanding environment.
Our ca. 20 technology colleagues are distributed across Germany, Italy, and Spain.

Job Description
Reporting to our Infrastructure Lead, you will be work on our core AWS/Digital Ocean infrastructure - constantly improving its automation, resilience, and robustness. Your key responsibilities will be to:  
  • Contribute to the design of a secure, scalable, lean, and robust infrastructure codebase  
  • Continuously improve our CI/CD automation to speed up our deployment cycles.  
  • Continuously improve our cloud infrastructure logging/auditing capabilities.  
  • Collaborate with our Engineering team to identify and solve issues and possible automation of tasks.  
  • Ensure the security of our cloud infrastructure and services, enabling capabilities like disaster recovery and real-time monitoring.  
  • Continuously improve and test our backup/recovery strategy.  
  • Contribute with your input to the definition of our internal roadmap.  
 
Qualifications
Essential technical requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer or systems engineering or equivalent relevant work experience. 
  • At least 6 years of experience in Linux infrastructure, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.  
  • Strong experience with containers, specifically Docker, and Virtual Machines.  
  • Proficient with Configuration Management tools: Ansible and scripting languages (bash and python).
  • Experience with Linux networking, Linux storage systems, Jenkins, and GitHub.  
  • Experience with cloud providers and their APIs, such as AWS and Digital Ocean. 

Essential non-technical requirements:
  • Hands-on mentality: people know you as a proactive problem-solver who is not afraid to take ownership and accountability.  
  • Fluent in English and are known for your team collaboration skills.  
  • Holding an EU passport or a permanent work permit for Italy.

What's the pay like?
For this job and country, the band we have set starts at 54,270€ TTC. This is:
  • Base Salary: 46,154€ gross annual salary
  • Bonus: 10% of annual gross base salary
  • Benefits: 3,500€ for Year1 as outlined below.

What's the recruitment process like?
  • You apply and fill a couple of screening questions.
  • We review all applications.
  • We invite the top 25% to an online assessment via Vervoe and interview with our People Team via MS Teams.
  • We schedule the top 4-5 candidates with our Infrastructure Lead,  and a couple will meet our VP Engineering / CTO for final interviews.
  • We make an offer and conduct background checks.
